We, Kwantas Corporation Berhad, respect your personal information and privacy and are committed to safeguarding your personal data. This Personal Data Protection Policy explains how we collect, process, disclose and store your personal data in accordance with The Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”) which came into force on 15 November 2013.
Collection and Source
In the course of dealing with Kwantas Corporation Berhad and its subsidiaries, associates, affiliates and/or members within the Kwantas Group of Companies (collectively, referred to as “us”, “our” or “we” in this Personal Data Protection Policy), you may be requested to provide your personal data (“Personal Data”) in order for us to contact or identify you on the products and services related to our business. These may be done through various means, including but not limited to :
- our forms whether in electronic or hardcopy format;
- any correspondence that we have received from you requesting for information or making any inquiries; and
- business cards or other information to us

Personal Data collected by us may include, but is not limited to information concerning your name, age, identity card number, passport number, address, email address, gender, date of birth, marital status, occupation, contact details such as telephone, mobile and facsimile number, race, nationality, and information of third parties such as your emergency contact person, your previous employer, financiers, which may subject to applicable data protection and other similar laws.
Purpose of Processing
We process your Personal Data for, amongst others, the following purposes (collectively, “Purposes”) :
- Those purposes provided for in any particular product or service offered by us or our business partners;
- Maintaining records of our customers and prospective customers and our internal record keeping;
- Conducting marketing, client profiling and business development activities as well as market research and statistical analysis and customer surveys regarding our products and/or services;
- Inclusion in media publications and engagements;
- Assessing your job application;
- Preparing guest invitations, registration and/or sign-ups based on selective events
- Issuing invoices (including e-invoices) and complying with other regulatory requirements and guidelines
- Investigation of complaints, misconduct and suspected suspicious transactions (including but not limited to carrying out due diligence and/or other screening activities);

By providing your Personal Data to Kwantas Group, you consent to the use of Personal Data collected by us or our authorised third party in the manner set out in this Personal Data Protection Notice for the Purposes stated above.
Disclosures
Where necessary in performing the Purposes, Kwantas may disclose your Personal data to the following third parties (including those within and outside Malaysia):

Any parties to whom we are a legal requirement to disclose the Personal Data to by applicable law or in response to an authoritative body, including government agencies, law enforcement agencies, statutory authorities, local councils, Employees Provident Fund Board, Inland revenue Board as well as to any other third parties to whom Kwantas is subject to or have reporting obligations or to whom we are required to provide your Personal Data;

Any person, who is under a duty of confidentiality who has undertaken the responsibility to keep such Personal Data private and confidential; The Personal Data of job applicants may be shared with third parties such as the applicant’s current or previous employers for credit reference check; and it is necessary for purpose of preventing or detecting or investigating an actual or potential crime or suspicious transaction

Your Personal Data is important to us. We are committed to keeping and processing the Personal Data in a secured manner in order to prevent any loss, theft, misuse, or unauthorised or accidental access, alteration, disclosures, destruction or damage to the Personal Data at all times.
Accuracy, Correction and Complaints
When you provide your Personal Data to us, you undertake that all such information provided is accurate, complete and up-to-date. Third Party Consent
In the event you have provided Personal Data of third parties (e.g your emergency contact person, previous employer, financiers etc) to us, we rely on you to have sufficiently obtained the prior consent of such third parties to allow us to process their Personal Data in relation to the Purposes.
Amendments to our Personal Data Protection Policy
Kwantas reserves the right to update, revise, amend and/or modify this Personal Data Protection Policy from time to time and in any manner at its absolute discretion but in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
